About me:

I founded Eirtight in June 2008 and am the Chief Executive Officer. Eirtight is a technology services provider which specialises in Software Development & Testing and Biometric (Fingerprint) Access Control & Identity Verification technology.

In 2003 I founded DBI (Data and Business Integration) I started the company from a background in IT design and development. I saw that many businesses had significant gaps between the capabilities of their IT systems and the roles their staff fulfilled. In order to make those staff more productive the IT gaps needed to be plugged. I have a fundamental belief, proven by practice, that customised software solutions can deliver major productivity improvements to businesses when developed closely with the business.

In 2000 I started an Internet company, QM4.com, for which I acted as CTO. This was funded by high profile venture capitalist Dermot Desmond’s IIU investment vehicle. Prior to QM4, I worked for Dell Inc. as Chief CRM Systems Architect for the Home & Small Business Division in EMEA. In this role I designed and deployed enterprise systems to support Dell’s industry leading Sales force.

I have considerable experience in managing IT organisations and am an advocate of Agile development methodologies.
